According to them, “the task amount can be up to 20% or 25%.” Politico noted that new tariffs for European imports, obviously, will be taxed as a fixed percentage calculated on the basis of trade barriers set by EU countries for US exports.
Previously, Trump announced the intention to introduce the refund of goods imported from April 2. According to him, Brazil, India, Canada, China, Mexico and the EU, the average charge charge is much higher than the United States.
On February 10, Trump ordered the introduction of tasks for all types of steel and aluminum imports with the amount of 25%, the decision took effect on March 12. The EU has announced the introduction of limitations as a reaction to US duties to aluminum and steel from Europe.
On March 26, Trump said that the United States will introduce an import tax with an amount of 25% to all cars produced outside the country. The current task of 2.5% should also be preserved, so the new tariff will be 27.5%.
