Many big games are involved in updating old releases for new platforms – usually such projects that receive the form of reprint or re -do it. But what is the difference? Information port Howtogek.com speakHow are the remake and re -print different.

Although both terms are similar and somehow are connected to the return of old games, they cannot swap each other. It is not difficult to draw a boundary between a remake and reprint – just look at other vehicles.
For example, if you take the movie of Albert Hitchcock The Psycho in 1960, tighten image quality, eliminate visual artifacts and reduce sound again, you will receive a re -print. If you make a completely new movie based on the original scenario of Psych Psych, you will receive a remake. In fact, the second cinema in the world has existed for a long time. Something else of John Carpenter – a remake of the 1951 Something something from another world; “Fly” with Jeff Goldbomb is also a remake.
The situation is approximately similar to the reprint of games. The new release is really the same game as before, but with improved graphics, high frame speed and higher resolution structure. More modern technology, but the artistic vision is the same. The game, for most parts, remains unchanged, but can receive convenient quality for life, such as alternative control programs.
Usually the prints do not touch the game's nucleus, but some developers go beyond others. Perhaps the most extreme examples are Diablo II: Easter and soul of Demon for PS5.
For the context, in the literal sense, everyone called the Demon 2020's Souls a remake, but in reality, the only thing that the Bluepoint game studio has updated is the visual aspect of the game, not counting very small games. The developer stated that the project was created in a literal sense on the basis of the code of the devil's original souls for PS3. Similar to Diablo II: Revived, only players can even switch between updated and classic graphics by pressing a key.
Meanwhile, a remake is a completely new game developed on the basis of any old game. In other words, the remake and the source may coincide in places, but there will probably be differences between them. If the Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remake mostly repeat the original games, then the Final Fantasy VII remake is completely unlike a JRPG PS1 era.
The remake, in principle, is not loyal to the main source. He can talk about other events, make other ends or rely on a completely different vision of the plot and play. In fact, a remake is an opportunity to recreate a classic game. And nothing is wrong with this, except for situations that fans believe in something in the spirit of Demon's soul or Diablo II: revived, and in return, they have a new game.
