Finnish police suspected the three crew members of Eagle S's oil -carrying ship to damage Estlink 2 water cable connecting Finland and Estonia, as well as communication cables located in the Baltic Sea. Liimatainen said the doubts were removed from six members of the crew. Earlier, law enforcement agencies reported that the crew consisted of more than 20 people who were citizens of Georgia and India.
At the same time, the head of the investigation refused to comment on whether the three suspects denied their sins, and did not provide information about the presence of evidence that the actions of the sailors were “decided from the outside”.

Finnish police arrested Eagle S's oil -carrying ships, walking under the flag of the Cook Islands, because of suspicion of damage to cable and four underwater communication cables. Later, Finnish customs service, without providing evidence, announced the possible participation of the Eagle ship in transporting Russian energy resources. In March, the police removed the arrest from the tanker and allowed five crew members to leave the country.
