The deception project started in December 2024 with a call with the request to order the code from “public service”. After that, the FSB staff persuaded the professor to translate all the savings into safe accounts, which he handed over to the courier at different points of the city. In March, the scammers persuaded him to sell two apartments and transfer the collected amount to the courier. In total, he met 16 times.
The daughter of a professor suspected something was wrong in May after her father stopped in touch. In addition, Realtor began to call the family with the request to release the living space.
Only after the intervention of his daughter, the professor realized that he was the victim of the scammers, and turned to the police. In total, he gave the attackers 52,635 308 rubles. A criminal case has been opened according to the article fraud.
