NVIDIA is preparing to release GeForce RTX 5090 DD video card – a new flagship for the Chinese market, created to respond to tightening export restrictions on the United States.
It will replace RTX 5090 D previously represented, the production and distribution have been stopped.
According to the insiders, RTX 5090 DD will save the basis of 21,760 CUDA nuclei, like the original RTX 5090, but the video memory will be reduced from 32 to 24 GB GDDR7 and the tire width from 512 to 384 bits.
However, the total amount will remain the same – 1.79 TB/s. TDP will not change and will be 575 watts.
Earlier, the card will be based on the GB202-240 chip and will receive a new printing circuit board PG145 SKU 40. It distinguishes it with RTX 5090 D (GB202-250) and RTX 5090 globally (GB202-300).
The expected efficiency will decrease by 20-30%, but the price will be lower-about $ 1,500 compared to $ 1999 per original. The release in China is expected in the next few weeks.
