The high -performance video card segment is undergoing a remarkable cost reduction – the market has met the new cost reduction of the GeForce RTX 5070, including in Japan, where the special high price has been preserved before. This has been reported by the WCCFTECH information portal.
Initially, GeForce RTX 5070 was supplied in Japan for 108 800 yen (about 58.6 thousand rubles), significantly exceeding the retail value in the United States. At the same time, the deficit in the Japanese market complicates the purchase even with rising prices. However, the situation began to change: In the PC Koubou retail network, Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Python III is now provided for 89,980 yen (about 48.5 thousand rubles). It is noteworthy that it is 20,000 yen (about 10.7 thousand rubles) compared to the recommended price. This is a minimum fixed value level from the time of the Japanese market entry model.
A similar reduction is observed in other sellers. On Japan Amazon, the MSI RTX 5070 Ventus 2X OC video card is offered for 99,800 yen.
In the United States, the price of GeForce RTX 5070 was stable at $ 600 (about 46.9 thousand rubles), as evidenced by data from Amazon and Newegg trading platforms. In Europe, at the price of Geizhals, since March, the cost of a video card has decreased from 900 € to about 550 € (from 81.9 to 50 thousand rubles).
The cost reduction shows the balance of the price by region and may indicate the reduction of deficit and normalization of the demand in the graphic accelerator segment.
