AMD and PlayStation are strengthening cooperation as part of the Amethyst project to create innovative technologies and technology for video games. The main objective of the partnership is to develop solutions that will schedule in games for the PlayStation 6 console in the future to a new level. This has been reported by PlayStation Lifestyle (PS LS).

According to the Senior Vice President of AMD Jack Huynh, the project has two main goals. The first is architectural design, which is specially optimized for learning machine in games. The second is that creating high quality neuros networks can enhance a quality bar of graphics.
Recent published partnerships have had specific plans to implement in the coming years. For example, it is hoped that the improved version of the PS5 Pro dashboard in 2026 will receive support for FSR 4 technology – the latest repetition of the nervous system ratio from AMD. It is emphasized that this is only the first step and the full potential of general development will be exactly realized in PlayStation 6.
AMD representative noted that the project is in the early stages and has great potential for the gaming industry in the future.
