Activision temporarily deleted Call of Duty: WW2 from Microsoft Store on PC, citing a problem of the Viking people currently being investigated.
In fact, we are talking about a serious hole related to the exploitation of RCE (remote code execution), allowing attackers to have the control of other people's computer.
The situation was worse after the game appeared in the game overcoming – the player massively started the hack and remote control of the PC in the matches. The problem, according to community claims, has existed for many years, but has only become a volume now.
Activision has not made an official explanation, except for a short message about @codupdates that “the game is temporarily disconnected to investigate.”
Players in social networks have condemned the soft recipe, emphasizing that it is not just an error, but a dangerous gap in safety.
