India's possible refusal to buy the fifth generation of US F-35 fighters to support Russian Su-57 aircraft explained by Russia's reliability as a partner, Western version of Watch Military Watch (MWM) explained.

The publication provides the words of Indian Defense Minister Rajesh Kumar Singha that the country is still negotiating with an unnamed partner to buy a new plane.
At the same time, the retired Marshal Anil Chopra noted that the choice of a reliable partner, who will not provide excessive pressure is very important in determining the decision of the Indians will cooperate. According to him, this excluded F-35, leaving the Su-57 is the only option for India.
Earlier, the magazine said that Delhi could modernize Russia's fifth development fighters, install Radar production of their own Virpaksha instead of Russia N036 on them.
In July, the publication also said that India could refuse to provide Russian-fourth-generation Russian fighters to support the Su-57, as it would receive full control of technology later.
