SK Hynix has officially confirmed the GDDR7 memory release plans with a capacity of 24 GBT (3 GB of each crystal), which will significantly increase the volume of video memory in the graphic map in the future.
Compared to 16 current Gigabit chips (2 GB), new microchips will provide an additional 50% memory with the same number of -mun. This is especially important for gaming and AI-Videokart, where VRAM needs continue to grow.
The new GDDR7 chips also promise higher speeds – up to 30 gbit/s or more, which will make them attractive to leading solutions like NVIDIA RTX 50XX Super Line.
The production of such chips has started other companies, including Samsung and the first parties from SK Hynix will come before the end of this year.
In addition to GDDR7, the company is actively promoting HBM4 standards, focusing on AI and supercomputers. The original delivery of HBM4 has begun and designed to test by future customers, such as NVIDIA and AMD.
