Developers from the GSC game world have announced Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a large update planned for the second quarter of 2025. The focus is a significant improvement in the A-Life system, responsible for the life of the game world and the long-term waiting tools. This has been reported by DTF.

The important innovation will be the beta version of the SDK mod, allowing players to make their own modifications for Stalker 2. Developers promise mod models with Steam Workshop and Mod.IO platform, which will simplify a lot of user content distribution.
In addition to the mod, GSC Game World will pay attention to improving artificial intelligence and the A-Life system. In the update of NPC lovers, they will become more realistic when using shelter and receive a limited supply of grenades, which will make the shooting more tactical shooting. Mutants will also behave more reliable: they will gnaw corpses on locations and deal with threats. Another pleasant innovation will be an opportunity to collect spoils from defeated monsters.
The full list of required changes includes:
-Beta-Intrumentation Mod SDK with support for the Steam and Mod.io conference;
-The A-Life and AI systems are determined: Smarter NPC (shelter, limited grenade), mutations gnawing on corpses, responding to threats, loop from mutations;
– The ability to miss the synthesis of the shaders, accelerate the launch of the game;
– The expansion menu of the main character's archive, making inventory more convenient;
– Support for Ultrashiroki screen, providing a comfortable game on a modern screen;
– Two new weapons expand the player's arsenal;
– Many errors and general improvement in stability.
The GSC game world also recalls the original version of the original version of Stalker on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Currently, the trio is available on these platforms due to opposite compatibility.
