According to leaked from the Chinese website, Intel plans to seriously change the architecture of the next generation processor.
The company will refuse to divide into production nuclei (P) and energy (E), combining them into a single platform. The development of new “unified” nuclei has been conducted and will become the basis for the next generation of CPUs.
Intel engineer stated that Arctic Wolf's upcoming small nucleus would be the last in their class.
Their performance improvements will be insignificant, especially in IPC (instructions on each watch), except for tasks with parallel data processing. After that, the company will focus on creating universal “large” nuclei.
It should also be noted that the future Nova Lake architecture will receive support for AVX-10 instructions and APX extensions, which will significantly increase productivity in vector activities. The conversion to a single platform will simplify the design of chips and reduce the complexity of crystals, which is beneficial for Intel.
