A study published in International Journal of PsychologySeeing that in the game in the video game, a disease story: Requiem, the physiological indicators of stress have decreased, regardless of the episode. At the same time, during the study time, participants play the cruel scenes that describe themselves more stressful and aggressive. While people play peaceful scenes feel more relaxed.

It is estimated that more than 3 billion people around the world play video games. The game provides an opportunity to escape daily life and relax. The game can also bring a sense of achievement and control, helping to cope with anxiety. However, excessive passion for games can increase stress if the games interfere with sleep, relationships or work tasks.
The recent research has the participation of 82 people from 18 to 40 years old (on average 23 years old), of which 42 are women. They all played video games before research, an average of 4-5 hours a week. Scientists have measured stress with the help of electrocardiograms and saliva analysis, and the subjects filled questions to evaluate themselves.
The results showed that, although the feeling of increasing tensions in the group played cruel scenes, in fact, the level of stress has decreased in terms of physiology. It was observed in both groups.
The authors note that the work opens a way to soften the therapy. However, they acknowledged that the study was only conducted on an example of a specific game and between those who love that entertainment.
