In Cyprus, 64 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation may be illegal. Such numbers have been voiced by the island state account room in a new report.
According to the ministry, the Russians massively stayed in the island after the expiry of residence or visa.
The total number of citizens of the third countries with departure is not registered up to 289,599, the account room said.
Of these, nearly 70 thousand people sent a residence permit request, a naturalization statement or international protection request, and the remaining bases to extend the time in the country were not indicated. The leaders of Cyprus citizens are Cyprus as the United Kingdom (about 74 thousand people) and Russia, accounting for nearly 50% of cases.
