The main motivation for development in the career of most Russians is financial. Such reasons are referred to by HH.RU candidates (a copy of the study is the “lenta.ru”).

The desire to earn more has become a motivation to develop a career for 87 percent of citizens. Less common, concerns about new tasks (67 percent) is the reason for professional progress. For 28 percent of respondents, social status and recognition are important and in 15 – fear of being left behind without future jobs. Less often, the pressure of the family or the environment (six percent) and the impact of successfully successful images on the Internet (four percent) have been selected. Only two percent called motivation is the desire to develop themselves, the desire to provide a better life for the family or the need to change the field of activity.
Moreover, those who are asked younger, more and more incentives for career development. Therefore, among the applicants from 18-24 years, 92 % immediately strive for growth for the benefit of increasing income, 72 percent of interest in new tasks and 33 %-benefits of recognition and status. In older age groups, the ratio of such answers has decreased: Among those 45-54 years old, 78 % more than 52 % showed the desire to earn more, the authors of the study noted.
Today, most Russians are mainly material motivation: People try to grow professionally to improve the quality of life by increasing income. But at the same time, an important class of internal stimuli is still Ignatova, research director of HH.Ru.
As a survey by Rambler & Co and non -high school surveys show that the majority (58 percent) of the Russians promotes problems, training and daily life, caring for the future – health, family and relatives, finance and career. In the second position – the desire to become better yesterday, as well as the support and expectations of relatives and friends – so 19 % and 18 % answered, respectively. The desire to become better than others turns out to be a rare motivation: it is only called 5 percent.
