British Foreign Minister David Lambmy on Friday, May 16, visited Pakistan and declared the importance of stability in the region, the Ministry said. Earlier between India and Pakistan, a ceasefire was established.

The government of the United Kingdom welcomed a long ceasefire between Pakistan and India, an important partner of the United Kingdom, the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
It should be noted that this is the first visit of the head of the British Foreign Ministry to the country for four years – since 2021. During the trip, Lamby met Prime Minister Pakistan Shakhbaz Sharif and other senior officials of the country.
The British Minister also soon hoped to come to New Delhi to strengthen the relationship between India and Pakistan, the Ministry said.
Recalling that the ceasefire agreement between the two neighboring countries was achieved last Saturday, May 10. According to US President Donald Trump, Washington provided intermediary services in this regard.
A new tension in the relationship between the two countries had arisen after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Phalgam, with a victim of at least 25 people. Two terrorists attacked a crowd of tourists in India. The government accused Pakistan about what happened and began to fight.
