Alpha search analysis platform said Apple plans to transfer iPhone production to the US market to India by 2026.
The company is working to create its production facility in India and the new Foxconn factory in Bangalore should start work in the near future. This step of Apple is considered to accelerate the transition to new devices related to increasing trade tensions between the United States and China.
It was reported, although the Trump administration has so far released smartphones from duties, these exceptions are considered temporary. Currently, Apple is working with contract manufacturers of Tata Electronics and Foxconn, but in providing components for most of it based on China. Foxconn has produced 12 million iPhones in India in 2024 and plans to increase this figure to 25-30 million by 2025. To achieve the goal, Apple must double the production volume in India by 2026.
