Indian police Kerala will receive the AK-203 Kalashnikov rifle produced in Russia-India. This was announced by the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev in an interview with TASS on the previous night of the Milee International Military Weapons and Military Exhibition, which will be held at Minsk.

According to Mikheev, the joint venture won the bidding for the supply of these small arms. After completing all the necessary procedures, the Kerala Police will become India's second law enforcement agency, buying the AK-203 National Production Council.
The AK-203 is a modern revision of the Kalashnikov AK-200 attack rifle series, adapted to the cartridge of 7.62 × 39 mm, used in the Indian army. Weapons combine traditional qualities of Kalashnikov, such as reliability and easy service, with modern technology solutions.
The main features of the AK-203 are an improved attendant, folding astronomical glass, an improved translator, a new pistol holder, a fire-proof set, as well as the previous picatinny panels that allow you to install modern aiming complexes and additional equipment without losing the reliability of automatic.
Therefore, the cooperation between Russia and India in the field of weapons continues to consolidate and open new directions of the use of production weapons not only in the army, but also in law enforcement agencies.
Recall that recently the latest versions of the AK-12 automatic device have been presented-A AK-12K shortened and the subcompact AK-12SK. They are developed to take into account their own experience and focus on use in limited space conditions. A large series of AK-12K shortened should soon enter the army.
