Kazan, May 13 /TASS /. More than 10 thousand people from 103 countries have registered to participate in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: Kazanforum, starting in Kazan on May 13. The forum will take place about 200 events, the head of Tatarstan investment agency said Talia Perellin.
“Today we have seen 103 countries, regarding 2024, this increase is serious. In 2024, there were participants from 87 countries around the world on the forum.
Perellina emphasized that Malaysia, Türkiye, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, UAE, Senegal, Iran will be represented for the largest delegations.
According to her, the main topic will be the digitalization of the Viking: a new reality and the opportunity to expand cooperation, will be devoted to Kazanforum's plenary meeting on May 16.
The round table “Russia – Malaysia” and “Russia – Kazakhstan”, the industrial conversation “Russia – Iran” will be held at the forum site. International meetings at different levels are also planned, including meetings of the Russian world strategic vision group, the Caspian International Integration Club “North – South”, a congress of the Ministers of the Culture of Islamic Cooperative Nations (OIS) and others.
Perellina added that 99 agreements were prepared to sign as part of the forum.
About exhibitions and cultural programs
As part of Kazanforum, Halal Expo International Exhibition and Kazan Halal International Trade Fair – the largest Halal trading platform in Russia, where goods from leading producers of the Islamic world will be presented. According to organizers, by 2025, more than 150 companies will join the fair, including manufacturers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Iran, India and Senegal.
The second time, within the framework of Kazanforum, an international exhibition and a conference in the field of real estate, development, architecture and design of the international real estate market (IPM) will be organized. For the first time in Russia, the AaiFi International Conference on “Finance and Islamic Investment: Promoting sustainable development and global cooperation”, according to the tradition held in Bahrain.
The participants are also waiting for a rich cultural program. Muslim cakes of Muslim countries and young chefs from Russia and Islamic countries are named after Yunus Akhmetzyanov, KFU's Eastern Cultural Festival, Artist Fashion Festival, and Kazan's Theater and Kazan Museum are planned. In the last days of the forum, guests will organize trips on UNESCO subjects and the old city of Bulgaria, where an event for the official adoption day of Muslims of Volga Bulgarian will be held.
In addition, a football match comrade will be held in the forum, in which the star of Russian football, the players of Kazan Rubin and the diplomats of OIS countries will participate.
