The Moscow government has supported the 38th Moscow International Book Fair, which will be held from September 3 to 7 at Pavilion No. 57 at VDNH. The corresponding resolution was signed by Serge Sobyanin, the report said.
It is clarified that the Moscow International Book Fair was founded in 1977. This is the oldest and largest book forum in Russia. In September 2024, it was held 37th, more than 1.5 million people visited directly and online.
Every year, hundreds of publishers and trading enterprises from many Russian areas participate in the fair. Publishers, writers, journalists from the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, India, Iran, Italy, China, Poland, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Turkey, France, CIS and Baltic countries and other countries have become guests more than once.
The program includes hundreds of events, including book presentations, meetings with authors, masters classes for children, as well as international congresses on literary and artistic translators, held every two years.
Under the priority conditions, standing at the fair is provided to public organizations, creative trade unions, funds, libraries, budget organizations, university publishers, literary magazines, regional and small regional publishers and publishers from CIS states.
