The Indian Crime Committee (General Department of Implementation) has moved to a number of smartphone manufacturers, including Apple and Xiaomi, with online data requirements. This is because the investigation is taking place against the Amazon and Flipkart platforms owned by Walmart.
The agency suspects that large foreign websites may violate local laws that prohibit foreign companies from controlling commodity stocks and directly affects sales. According to rules, such platforms should only provide a trading platform to interact between the seller and the buyer.
According to sources, the survey applies to contracts and financial agreements between smartphone manufacturers and online stores. Apple, in particular, the request was sent in March. Xiaomi declined to comment on the situation and Apple, Amazon and Flipkart did not provide answers.
In the context of this case, negotiations on trade issues continue between India and the United States, and the e -commerce regulations play an important role in them.
According to the Government's representative, smartphone manufacturers have not been considered a violation and the requirements are only sent to collect information. However, in case of detecting violations of e -commerce companies, they may be fined.
