Iranian President Masud Cyezeshkin has received an invitation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will be held in Tianjin City from August 31 to September 1. This is published by the Deputy Director of the Iranian government on political issues of Mehdi Sanai.
According to Sanai, Iranian President received an invitation to participate in the SCO Summit in China in August. Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Minister announced that the upcoming event would become the largest in the organization's history.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established in 2001. It includes Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Afghanistan and Mongolia have the situation of observations, and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, UAE, Türkiye and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners.
