Moscow, June 9 /TASS /. The state's Tretyakov gallery opens a special exhibition for the 225th anniversary of the birth of Russian painter Karl Bryullov, the reporter reported. The exhibition “Karl Bryullov. Rome – Moscow – Petersburg” can be seen from June 10, 2025 to January 18, 2026.

More than 170 works of Master will be displayed in the building on Crimea. Among them are paintings, graphics and sculptures from the Russian museums, the private collections of St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as from the Armenia National Gallery. Visitors will see the famous work “The last day of Pompeii” from the Russian Museum's collection, will be displayed in Moscow for the first time in 25 years. From the collection of the state's Tretyakov gallery at the exhibition, including the historic picture “PSKOV PSKOV of Polish King Stefan Bossiy in 1581.”

The first part of the exhibition is for Bryullov's life in Italy and is called “Rome”.
